Why hire a pro? (Why hire January?)

Photography is an art form that requires skill, creativity, and an eye for detail. While anyone with a smartphone or camera can take pictures, there is a marked difference between amateur and professional photography. Professional photographers have the expertise, equipment, and experience to create stunning images that are truly unique and personalized. (With an Associate Fellow of Photography and a vision to fully embrace every detail for my clients, I am proud to be a full service photographer / artist)

Here are some compelling reasons why someone should hire a professional photographer: (me 😉)

1. Quality: A professional photographer has access to top-of-the-line equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting, and editing software. They know how to use this equipment to produce high-quality images that are sharp, vibrant, and detailed. They also understand the importance of composition, framing, and color balance to create visually appealing images that capture the essence of the moment. (I have found that quality doesn't matter to many right now, but years down the road you'll be begging someone to work on a low quality picture. Just because it looks good on your phone or computer, doesn't mean it will in the future.)

2. Expertise: Professional photographers have spent years honing their craft and developing their skills. They understand the technical aspects of photography, such as the exposure triangle, the inverse square law and other technical aspects that are needed to create a beautiful and unique image. (I am constantly learning and educating myself on every aspect of photography and editing. to give my clients the images and experience they desire.)

3. Creativity: Professional photographers are artists who bring their own unique perspective and creative vision to each shoot. (This is one of my favorite parts about my job. I love to work with clients who have a vision, and I can work with them to bring it to life. Having the skills to edit composites also help bring once impossible images, now to life.)

4. Personalization: A professional photographer will work closely with their clients to understand their needs and preferences. They will take the time to get to know their clients and tailor their approach to create images that truly reflect their personality and style. This level of personalization ensures that each image is a one-of-a-kind work of art. (Tell me what your hobby is, I want to make this a unique and memorable experience for you and your family!)

5. Professionalism: Professional photographers take their work seriously and treat each shoot with the utmost professionalism. They arrive on time, dress appropriately, and conduct themselves in a manner that reflects positively on their clients. They also have the necessary licenses and insurance to protect their clients and ensure that their work is of the highest quality. (I am professional, but laid back. If there's one thing I can't be is fake. I may or may not show up with makeup on - if it's hot, it's sweating off anyways! I will match my client's energy and if you like to cut up, I'm probably going to too. I will always be respectful to my clients because I would expect the same if I was the client.)

6. Long-lasting memories: The photos taken by a professional photographer will be cherished for years to come. They will capture important moments in time and preserve them for future generations to enjoy. These images will serve as a reminder of the joy, love, and beauty of life. (My slogan has always been: "Capturing the Past, in the Present, for the Future." - Digital is great for sharing, but those printed out moments increase in value as time goes by. I have never had anyone regret printing out and displaying their images, even if they were hesitant to begin with.)

In conclusion, hiring a professional photographer is an investment from quality, to long-lasting memories. The benefits of working with a professional far outweigh the cost, and the results are truly priceless. Whether it's for a wedding, family portrait, or corporate event, a professional photographer is the best choice for capturing life's most precious moments.

(I will admit, I'm not the cheapest photographer out there, but when you hire me I put my all into your session. From helping with clothing colors to going shopping with you. From suggesting large wall art, to hiring someone to hang them for you. From location scouting, to album design, your experience and confidence in my service is my top priority.)
